Legal experience and recognition
Before starting practicing family law in 2004 Louise was an Associate at both the Federal Circuit Court and the County Court.

She acted as an Independent Child Lawyer for a number of years and has expertise in complex child welfare matters involving high conflict disputes.

Louise was recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in 2017 and as a Parenting & Children’s Matters Lawyer – Victoria, 2019.

Louise has also been recognised in the award rankings for The Best Lawyers in Australia for family law.

Acting with strength and empathy
Louise is an experienced negotiator and litigator who prides herself on providing pragmatic and economically sustainable advice. She has considerable experience with mediation and dispute resolution processes.

Shaping the future of family law
Louise received the Victorian Legal Award Certificate of Service 2019 from the Law Institute of Victoria for her work for the family law section with special reference to the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee’s inquiry into the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Bill 2018.

Louise is the immediate past chair of both the Executive and the Courts Practice Committees of the Law Institute of Victoria’s Family Law Section.

Louise is involved with a number of other committees and interest groups working in conjunction with the Courts and other stakeholders in family law including government, community based and not-for-profit organisations.

Louise has facilitated and presented at many seminars and conferences for legal education purposes.
