Sofia holds a Bachelor of Laws and completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. She is admitted to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Sofia is developing her experience across a range of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce and intervention order applications. She understands that family law matters often arise at a difficult and uncertain time in a person’s life and approaches her work with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Sofia gained valuable experience with Schetzer Papaleo Family Lawyers in administrative and legal support roles. This experience provided her with a strong understanding of the family law process and the importance of clear communication, organisation and practical support for clients.
While completing her law degree, Sofia was actively involved in the Deakin Law Students’ Society, serving as Activities Officer in 2023, Finance Officer in 2024 and Treasurer in 2025. Her contribution to the Society was recognised by Deakin Law School with a Certificate of Recognition in 2025.
Sofia is committed to continuing to develop her skills as a family lawyer and to assisting clients with a considered, practical and compassionate approach.
